Jack White, the former lead vocalist of the White Stripes, has fired back at the Trump administration following a derogatory comment from the White House.
The administration labeled him a "washed-up loser," sparking a war of words that has since escalated.
According to The New York Post, White retaliated against the White House Communications Director, Steven Cheung, who had previously referred to him as a "has-been." In a lengthy Instagram post, White launched a scathing critique of President Donald Trump, questioning his humanity and labeling him a "conman" and a "low life fascist."
"No intelligent person can defend this low life fascist. This bankrupter of casinos. This failed seller of trump steaks, trump vodka, trump water, etc.," White wrote. He further criticized the administration, stating, "This man and his goon squad have failed upwards for decades and have fleeced the American people over and over."
The verbal altercation was triggered by White's mockery of Trump's new Oval Office decorations. Cheung responded to White's comments, stating, "Jack White is a washed-up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career."
Cheung further criticized White, accusing him of disrespecting the Oval Office's significance. "Its apparent hes been masquerading as a real artist because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of The Peoples House."
White had initially criticized the new gold decorations in the Oval Office, stating, "Look at how disgusting trump has transformed the historic White House. Its now a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestlers dressing room." He also expressed his anticipation for a UFC match on the White House lawn, a plan Trump has for America's 250th birthday celebrations next year.
In his response to Cheung, White accused the Trump administration of being overly sensitive, stating, "How petty and pathetic and thin skinned could this administration get? Masquerading as a real artist? Thank you for giving me my tombstone engraving! Well heres my opinion, trump is masquerading as a human being."
White continued his critique of the U.S. leader, accusing him of pretending to be a Christian, a leader, and a person with empathy. He also criticized Trump's officials, including Cheung and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. "His staff of professional liar toadies like Steven Cheung and Karoline Leavitt have been covering up and masking his fascism as patriotism and fomenting hatred and division in this country on a daily basis," he said.
In his Instagram post, White also included a lengthy caption, expressing his concerns about the Trump administration. "This man is a danger to not just America but the entire world and thats not an exaggeration, hes dismantling democracy and endangering the planet on a daily basis, and we. all. know. it." he said.
In response to White's post, Cheung told Fox News Digital, "Trump Deranged liberals like him are so predictable and easily triggered. Im glad we live rent-free in his rotted, pea-sized brain." This exchange of words between White and the Trump administration continues to highlight the ongoing political divide in the country.
