The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has revealed a significant breakthrough in the fight against human trafficking, as U.

S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents successfully dismantled a large-scale, illegal alien-operated trafficking network in Nebraska.

This operation, which was reportedly centered around motels and eyebrow salons in the Omaha metro area, underscores the persistent threat posed by such criminal enterprises.

According to One America News, ICE agents conducted a rescue operation on August 12, liberating 27 individuals, including 10 children under the age of 12, from deplorable conditions. These victims were found in cockroach-infested rooms, deprived of basic sanitation, and subjected to sexual exploitation.

The investigation revealed that both children and adults were coerced into sex trafficking, with the motels also serving as drug trafficking hubs.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin praised the efforts of ICE law enforcement, stating, "Our brave ICE law enforcement rescued these children and women who were being sexually exploited and trafficked."

She emphasized the commitment of President Trump and Secretary Noem to combat human trafficking, declaring, "Our message to human traffickers is clear: we will dismantle your networks, and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Thats a promise."

The operation has led to the arrest of five illegal aliens, now facing multiple federal charges related to labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and harboring illegal non-citizens. These individuals, identified as being of Indian nationality, have had immigration detainers issued against them to prevent their release into the community post-trial.

In addition to these arrests, ICE has detained 14 other illegal aliens who were residing with the trafficking victims. The operation also resulted in the seizure of over $565,000 in cash and illicit drugs, with legal actions initiated to prevent the sale of the implicated motel properties.

All individuals apprehended will remain in custody pending judicial proceedings and subsequent deportation. However, their mugshots have not been made available to the media.

This decisive action by ICE highlights the ongoing commitment to safeguarding communities and upholding the rule of law, ensuring that those who exploit vulnerable individuals are brought to justice.
