Trump Confirms U.S. May Take To The Skies Over Ukraine, But No American Boots On The Ground!

In a recent development, U.S. President Donald Trump has categorically stated that no American troops will be deployed on the ground in Ukraine following a potential peace deal.

The responsibility of maintaining security in the region will instead fall on European nations, according to the President.

As reported by Breitbart, the President's comments came during a Fox News interview, where he was asked about the possibility of American troops being put in harm's way in Ukraine. In response, President Trump assured, You have my assurance, and Im President."

This assurance, however, does not imply that the United States will remain uninvolved in the situation. The President clarified that American forces would play a supportive role to the European nations planning to deploy their armed forces to maintain peace in Ukraine.

President Trump further explained, There will be some form of security. It cant be NATO because thats just not something that would ever, ever happen, it couldnt. The form of American support would primarily be air support, although the specifics of whether this entails combat air patrols, air policing, or deployment of intelligence assets to provide information to European forces on the ground remain unclear.

The President emphasized, When it comes to security [the Europeans are] willing to put people on the ground, were willing to help them with things, especially by air because nobody has the kind of stuff we have.

In a meeting with European leaders at the White House, President Trump revealed that President Putin agreed that Russia would accept security guarantees for Ukraine. He described this as a very significant step and expressed optimism about reaching an agreement that will deter any future aggression towards Ukraine. The President stated, I think the European nations are going to take a lot of the burden, were going to help them, were going to make it very secure.

During a discussion in the Oval Office with Ukraines President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Trump reiterated his commitment to ensuring long-term peace in Ukraine. He indicated that discussions on Western security forces in Ukraine meaning boots on the ground or planes in the air might occur maybe later today. He emphasized that the first line of defence for Ukraine would be its European partners and their militaries, but assured that when it comes to security, there will be a lot of help.

While several European nations have expressed support for a peacekeeping security force in Ukraine post-peace deal, most have been hesitant to commit without reassurances from the United States that it would act as the ultimate security guarantor. The preferred model seems to be European boots on the ground, with America promising to intervene if the war restarted and European armies started taking casualties.

The United Kingdom, however, appears to be the least reluctant to commit its military to Ukraine as soon as a peace deal is signed. British Defence Minister John Healey stated, In the circumstances of a ceasefire, were ready to put UK boots on the ground in Ukraine They are ready to go, theyre ready to act from day one. He added that these troops would be prepared to defend themselves if attacked by Russian forces.

Despite these developments, Germany the EUs largest economy but a long-time recalcitrant on defence spending seems unencouraged to commit to the so-called coalition, at least in a front-line role. Chairman of the Bundestags Defence Committee Thomas Rwekamp stated that while it is not impossible for German soldiers to serve in Ukraine, it is unlikely that Germany will establish a brigade in Ukraine or deploy a similarly large operation. Options for German troops might include remote peace agreement monitoring and training Ukrainian soldiers in Ukraine.

As the situation unfolds, the world watches closely, hoping for a peaceful resolution that ensures the security and sovereignty of Ukraine. The role of the United States and European nations in this process is crucial, and their commitment to supporting Ukraine in the face of potential aggression is a testament to their dedication to maintaining global peace and stability.
