Maher Calls Out Dem No-Shows: Too Scared To Face Him On Air!

During a recent episode of HBO's "Real Time," host Bill Maher expressed his desire to feature prominent Democratic figures such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), New York City mayoral candidate Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani (D), and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on his program.

However, Maher lamented, "I cant subpoena the guests." He also revealed that both Bill and Hillary Clinton, along with former Vice President Kamala Harris, have consistently declined invitations to appear on his show, even during the 2024 campaign.

As reported by Breitbart, Maher used his closing monologue to critique Democrats, accusing them of excessive fearfulness. He noted that California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is an exception, as he regularly appears on the show. Maher remarked, "People ask me all the time, why havent you ever had Hillary or Bill Clinton on? Why didnt you have Kamala on during the last campaign? You think we dont ask? We ask these people every week. They say no."

He further shared the challenges faced in securing high-profile guests, stating, "It took eight years and a petition to get Obama on, and these are people all people I voted for." Maher highlighted the irony that these individuals are hesitant to appear on the show of someone who supported them politically.

In contrast, he praised Republicans for their willingness to participate, saying, "The Republicans, they show up, and when they do, they take their beating like a man."

Maher's comments underscore a broader issue within the Democratic Party, where leaders appear reluctant to engage in open dialogue, even with those who have historically supported them. This hesitance raises questions about the party's commitment to transparency and robust debate, principles that are often championed by conservatives as essential to a healthy democracy.
