Jim Jordan Drops The One Reason He Stands By Schiffs Whistleblower

Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, a Republican, has voiced his belief in the credibility of a whistleblower who has accused Democratic Senator Adam Schiff of misconduct.

During an appearance on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle," Jordan expressed his hope that the whistleblower would engage with his staff, emphasizing the importance of hearing their account firsthand. The allegations against Schiff involve claims of leaking classified information to undermine President Donald Trump, a charge that dates back to 2017 when Schiff was a member of the House.

According to the Daily Caller, an FBI memo from 2017 reveals that the whistleblower accused Schiff of sanctioning leaks of sensitive information with the intent to target President Trump. Jordan, who has dealt with numerous whistleblowers over the years, stated,

I hope the whistleblower will come forward and talk to our staff. Weve dealt with whistleblowers several, you know, dozens over the last several years. I hope theyll come forward, and we can talk to him. He further noted, But what I do know is whether this guys credible or not, it seems to me he is, and the main reason I believe hes probably credible is this is their pattern. They did it all along.

Jordan highlighted documents declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, which purportedly demonstrate that intelligence officials manipulated assessments for political ends. These declassified files suggest that former President Barack Obama and his national security team engaged in fabricating and politicizing intelligence following President Trump's victory in the 2016 election.

Jordan remarked, They were leaking information to friendly news outlets to further this false narrative that somehow President Trump was working with the Russians and the election was compromised. Its all baloney. Weve had countless investigations, the Durham Report, the Mueller Report, all these things that said that was garbage.

The Ohio Congressman drew parallels between the current allegations and what he described as a smear campaign against former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes. Jordan asserted,

One other thing that I do think, well, I was just going to say, one other thing that I think is critically important is, remember what they did to Chairman Nunes. They accused him of doing this when he did it. They accused him of the very thing that they did, according to this whistleblower, typical left operation. Always accuse us of what theyre actually doing. All that. Devin was driven by it all along.

In response to these allegations, Schiffs office has dismissed them as false and defamatory, attributing them to a disgruntled former staffer. This denial underscores the contentious nature of the claims and the broader political dynamics at play.

As the situation unfolds, questions remain about the veracity of the whistleblower's claims and the potential implications for those involved. The unfolding narrative continues to highlight the deep-seated divisions and ongoing battles within the political landscape.
