The National Republican Congressional Campaign (NRCC), serving as the campaign arm for House Republicans, has leveled accusations against Democrats, asserting their eagerness to revert to "Joe Biden's America.
".
This claim was made in a memo released on Tuesday, which ridiculed the Democrats' "wildly unpopular" proposals under their "Project 2026" platform, aimed at reclaiming the House majority in the upcoming midterm elections.
According to Breitbart, the NRCC's memo took a satirical jab at House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) for failing to meet a self-imposed deadline to unveil his party's policy proposal. "Hakeem Jeffries promised a Project 2026 within 100 days of April 30th, and its been over 100 days. Democrats know their agenda is wildly unpopular, and their focus on these issues will cause them to lose yet again," the NRCC stated.
The memo further accused the Democratic Party of seeking to "move swiftly and unapologetically to return to Joe Bidens America and implement the bold, transformational change our base demands."
In response, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee countered that Republicans are attempting to "distract from their failed leadership and refusal to get a single thing done for the American people." The NRCC memo outlined eight policy proposals they allege Democrats are eager to advance, including "Bring Back Wasteful Government Spending and High Crime," "Open Borders. Full Stop," and "Impeach President Trump. Again. And Again."
Additionally, the NRCC criticized Democrats for promoting ideas such as a federal "Carbon Lifestyle Tax" on Americans owning trucks, SUVs, or backyard grills, and government-run grocery store pilot programs in "underserved" neighborhoods, as suggested by New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. "This is the America Democrats want to build," remarked NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella.
