In January 2021, President Joe Biden assumed office and promptly initiated a policy of open borders, dismissing President Donald Trump's border wall project and leaving behind a significant amount of equipment and supplies that were meant to strengthen the southern border of the United States.
According to RedState, Trump is now reclaiming what was left behind. The international auction house that listed the unused parts of Trump's border wall under the Biden administration informed Fox News Digital on Friday that it intends to collaborate with the Trump administration to return some of the materials to the federal government.
The auction house, GovPlanet, is a subsidiary of an Illinois-founded, British Columbia-based international operation called Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers-RB Global.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, GovPlanet announced, "GovPlanet has reached an agreement, working with the Office of the Border Czar, to return border wall materials that were previously deemed surplus and sourced by the federal government to GovPlanet via existing contracts." The company further added, "A third-party firm that has been contracted for construction of the border wall will take receipt of the materials over the next 90 days."
This move is seen as another instance of the Trump administration rectifying the failures of the Biden administration, which included Vice President Kamala Harris and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The extent of the damage they inflicted on the country is becoming increasingly evident. However, it's now 2025, and the time for rectification has arrived.
On Inauguration Day, Biden had proclaimed, "U.S. has the right to secure its borders. But building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution. It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security." This statement was made despite the ongoing crisis of illegal immigration at the southern border.
For years, Biden and his administration claimed they were powerless to address the issue, citing the need for more funding, legislation, and resources. However, Trump's administration swiftly countered this argument upon taking office, effectively halting the influx of illegal immigrants and achieving historic prevention numbers. The border is now more secure than it has been in decades.
The recent move to reclaim the abandoned border materials is seen as a significant victory. It serves as a direct rebuttal to those who failed to address the border crisis effectively.
Trump continues to dismantle Biden's legacy, one day at a time, one deal at a time, one executive order at a time. While Biden may be unaware of these developments, they represent a significant shift in the direction of border security and immigration policy. This shift underscores the importance of strong leadership and effective policy-making in addressing the challenges facing the nation.
