Eric Swalwell Gets Totally Roasted After Showing Off His 135-Lb Bench Press!

In a recent series of social media posts, Representative Eric Swalwell has been seen engaging in various athletic activities, a move that has left many perplexed.

The California Democrat's posts, which seem to be an attempt to portray him as a sports enthusiast, have been met with skepticism and ridicule, particularly from conservative quarters.

According to RedState, Swalwell's videos, which feature him in a pool, playing baseball, and lifting weights, are accompanied by a recurring message. He claims that he should be in Congress, working to lower costs for the American people.

However, he alleges that he is unable to do so due to a supposed shutdown of Congress by Republicans, who he accuses of trying to prevent the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

In one video, Swalwell is seen standing in his pool, stating, "I should be working right now." He then proceeds to shoot a three-foot shot on a Fisher-Price poolside basketball hoop. In another, he is seen pitching for the Dublin Leprechauns, a baseball team. He repeats the same message, blaming Republicans for his current predicament.

Swalwell's attempts to portray himself as an athlete have been met with derision, particularly given his previous public appearances. The last time Swalwell was seen shirtless was when he was caught flouting COVID-19 rules during a camel ride in Qatar with Senator Ruben Gallego. His attempt to throw the first pitch at an Oakland Athletics game also ended in embarrassment when he bounced the ball to the catcher.

Swalwell's most recent video, which shows him struggling to bench press 135 pounds, has been met with similar reactions. Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin mocked Swalwell's efforts, stating, "I was proud of putting 135 lbs, too. When I was 14 and I weighed 110 lbs." Nationally syndicated host Jesse Kelly also chimed in, calling Swalwell "the biggest nerd in the history of politics."

Despite Swalwell's allegations, Congress is currently in a scheduled recess, a typical occurrence during the summer months. This recess, often referred to as the August recess, usually begins in late July and extends through early September. It is unrelated to the Epstein files, contrary to Swalwell's claims.

Swalwell's attempts to portray himself as an athletic figure have been met with widespread skepticism. His past actions, including his alleged involvement with a Chinese spy and his infamous live television gaffe, have done little to bolster his image. As conservative commentator Paul Szypula noted, Swalwell's attempts to appeal to white male voters through his gym videos are unlikely to be successful.

Swalwell's recent social media posts are a clear departure from his usual persona. Known for his portrayal of himself as a comic book superhero akin to the Avengers, Swalwell's attempts to reinvent himself as a sports enthusiast have been met with widespread skepticism and ridicule. His allegations against Republicans, coupled with his questionable athletic prowess, have done little to enhance his credibility or appeal.
