In a recent episode of Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle," host Laura Ingraham and Florida Rep. Byron Donalds shared a hearty laugh over a clip from the Voters of Tomorrow 2025 summit.
The clip featured Democrats suggesting that supporters engage in activities such as throwing "balls of yarn." The summit, organized by the youth advocacy group Voters of Tomorrow, saw prominent Democratic figures like Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi and California Rep. Ro Khanna in attendance.
According to the Daily Caller, the clip that sparked the laughter showed two women at a podium, with an off-screen voice suggesting that those who enjoyed "bonding" and "throwing yarn" should proceed to a breakout session. Ingraham, unable to contain her amusement, exclaimed, "Oh my god," before turning to Donalds, only to be interrupted by his disbelief, "Thats not real!"
The clip further revealed the announcer directing those interested in "throwing balls of yarn" to the "back" of the room, adding that opting out of the activity was perfectly acceptable. Ingraham, still in disbelief, wished she had a ball of yarn to throw at the camera in jest. She expressed her embarrassment for the Democrats, contrasting their approach with the "fun" and "infectious spirit" of President Trump.
Donalds, seizing the opportunity, pointed out the absurdity of the situation. "If you want to know why the Democrats are losing young men, thats why. There ain't a young man in America today that wants to be throwing yarn in the back," he stated. He further criticized the Democrats for their portrayal of President Joe Biden's capabilities, stating, "This is the same party that lied to us and said that Joe Biden was capable of doing his job. And we all know he was not."
The conversation took a more serious turn when Ingraham informed Donalds that the summit required each attendee to present a valid photo ID. Donalds was quick to highlight the inconsistency between this requirement and the Democrats' stance on voter identification. "Look, again, rules for thee, not for them," he retorted. He argued that if Democrats applied common sense, they would have a chance at securing a future. However, their insistence on not requiring IDs for voting, while demanding them for summit entry, was a glaring contradiction.
Donalds further criticized the Democrats for their declining approval ratings, attributing it to their "idiocy." He expressed confidence in the Republicans' chances in the upcoming midterm elections, stating, "Well go ahead and win the House and Senate majorities in the midterms. We will continue to work with President Trump to make America not just great again, but better than its ever been."
The Democrats' opposition to voter identification laws has been a longstanding issue. Despite their resistance, they have required proof of identity for events such as the 2024 Democrat National Convention and the recent summit, raising questions about their stance on voter ID laws.
