In a recent revelation, Joe Rogan shared the pivotal factors that led him to host President Donald Trump on his podcast during the crucial final days of the 2024 election campaign.
Despite initially resisting the idea, Rogan eventually conducted a comprehensive three-hour interview with the President, a move that surprised many given Rogan's previous stance.
As reported by Western Journal, Rogan discussed this shift in perspective during an appearance on "The Ultimate Human" podcast with Gary Brecka. Brecka pointed out that Rogan had previously expressed reluctance to invite Trump onto his show. However, not only did the interview take place, but Rogan also swiftly endorsed Trump, a development that the President himself announced during a rally in Michigan shortly thereafter.
Rogan attributed his change of heart to several factors, stating, "There was a bunch of things that happened." He elaborated, "First of all, there was the lawfare. There were these lawsuits that they were trying to pin on him."
Rogan criticized the legal actions against Trump, describing them as "blatant and obvious" attempts to convict him and label him a felon. He specifically referenced the New York case involving a bookkeeping error, which he argued was exaggerated into 34 felony charges despite being a misdemeanor.
Both Rogan and Brecka contended that the judicial system and media were complicit in aiding the Democrats. Rogan remarked, "People were cheering it on. Hes a convicted felon. Like, hey, they can do that to you. Do you understand that?" He emphasized the broader implications, warning, "If they can do that to a former president, a former f***ing President whos rich as s***, they can do that to him. They can do that to you, too."
Rogan expressed his dismay at the situation, stating, "You cant cheer this on. This is insane." He recounted his reaction to various attempts to undermine Trump, saying, "When they tried to kill him, all those things, I was like, yeah."
He highlighted a particularly shocking incident in Pennsylvania, involving Thomas Matthew Crooks, who allegedly shot at Trump. Rogan questioned the circumstances surrounding Crooks' cremation just ten days later, noting, "You find out he used to be in a Black Rock commercial, and youre like, what?"
In reflecting on these events, Rogan concluded, "It was just gross. It was just so anti-American." His comments underscore a broader concern about the erosion of traditional values and the potential misuse of legal and media institutions for political ends.
