In a recent development, the FBI has unveiled a photograph of an individual suspected of opening fire on immigration officers during a July raid at a California marijuana farm.
The agency has announced a reward of up to $50,000 for any information that could lead to the suspect's identification and arrest.
As reported by The Post Millennial, the FBI stated, "The FBI is releasing a new photo in order to identify a suspected protester who brandished a pistol and fired toward agents conducting lawful activity in #Camarillo on 7/10. A reward of up to $50k is offered for info leading to his ID, arrest & conviction. Call 1 800 CALL-FBI," in a post to X.
The incident occurred during an immigration operation at Glass House Farms, a state-sanctioned cannabis cultivation site. Video evidence from July 10 captures a man discharging a firearm at federal agents amidst a protest against the ICE-led raid. The operation resulted in the apprehension of 361 illegal immigrants, many of whom had prior convictions for serious offenses, including rape, child molestation, and kidnapping.
In a related incident, law enforcement detained a California university professor for allegedly hurling a tear gas canister back at officers after it was deployed. The raid also uncovered 10 minors working at the farm, prompting the Department of Homeland Security to express concerns about potential child exploitation and labor violations, as eight of these minors were unaccompanied.
The operation has drawn criticism from Democratic leaders, who argue that those working on the farm were merely "picking our food." Governor Gavin Newsom criticized the Trump administration, describing scenes of "kids running from tear gas" and a child "crying on the phone because their mother was just taken from the fields."
