Trump Breaks Silence On Butler AssassinationSays Hes Very Satisfied With The 'Official Story'

President Donald Trump has expressed his contentment with the FBI's investigation into the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania, as reported by the Daily Caller.

This marks the first occasion he has publicly conveyed complete trust in the inquiry. His remarks were made to Daily Caller White House Correspondent Reagan Reese, following a period of public doubt regarding the official narrative. Previously, in a conversation with Fox News, Trump acknowledged his trust in his team but noted that certain elements of the case appeared "a little bit strange."

In his earlier statement, Trump remarked, "Im relying on my people to tell me what it is The Secret Service, they tell me its fine. But its a little hard to believe." This sentiment underscores the cautious approach he has maintained until now.

According to the Daily Caller, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino addressed the matter in March during a Fox News interview, stating, "In some of these cases, the there youre looking for is not there. And I know people I get it, I understand. Its not there. If it was there, we would have told you." His comments aimed to clarify the absence of further evidence in the investigation.

During a White House briefing in the same month, Reagan Reese inquired of Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the president's satisfaction with Bongino's explanation.

Leavitt refrained from providing additional details, responding, "Well, in the lead up to your question, you answered your own question with the Presidents own words, and Ill leave it at that." This exchange highlights the administration's stance on maintaining discretion regarding the investigation's specifics.
