Kareem Rahma, the host of the left-leaning podcast "Subway Takes," recently shared a behind-the-scenes account of a scrapped interview with Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

According to Rahma, the Democratic National Committee approached him ahead of the 2024 election to conduct this interview. However, the outcome was so unsatisfactory that it was ultimately shelved. Rahma expressed relief over this decision, fearing that the poor quality of the interview could have been detrimental to Harris' electoral prospects.

"Her take was really confusing and weird not good," Rahma recounted to Forbes' Steven Bertoni, adding, "And we mutually agreed to not publish it. And I got lucky, because I didnt want to be blamed for her losing."

As reported by Gateway Pundit, this incident sheds light on Harris' reluctance to appear on Joe Rogan's podcast. Her team likely recognized the risks involved, knowing that a poorly received episode could not be easily retracted or dismissed. This cautious approach underscores the challenges Harris faces in effectively communicating her message, a concern that resonates with many conservatives who question her leadership abilities.

FOX News provided further details, noting that Rahma's podcast, "Subway Takes," is known for engaging commuters and celebrities in discussions about their opinions. Rahma previously informed the New York Times about the ill-fated interview with Harris, which took place in the summer of 2024 but never saw the light of day. In a social media clip, Rahma described Harris' comments as "really, really bad" and "bacon as a spice," leaving him bewildered by her perspective.

Neither Harris nor Rahma responded to Fox News Digital's request for comment on the matter. Rahma, who is Muslim, also revealed to the New York Times that Harris' team initially suggested she offer a "hot take" against passengers removing their shoes on airplanes. This peculiar choice of topic further highlights the disconnect between Harris' communication style and the expectations of her audience.

As Harris contemplates a potential gubernatorial run in California, questions arise about whether her communication skills have evolved over the past year. For conservatives, this situation serves as a reminder of the importance of clear and coherent messaging in political discourse, particularly when it comes to leadership roles.
