Tucker Carlson, co-founder of the Daily Caller News Foundation, has leveled serious allegations against Attorney General Pam Bondi's Justice Department (DOJ), accusing them of shielding the heinous crimes of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
According to Axios, a two-page memo revealed that the DOJ and FBI had determined there was no "client list" left by Epstein, a conclusion that has been met with public doubt. Speaking on "The Tucker Carlson Show," Carlson expressed his belief that Bondi's DOJ was likely withholding information to safeguard intelligence agencies.
Carlson stated, "So let's just assess this logically. They're covering up the DOJ, the current DOJ under Pam Bondi is covering up crimes. Very serious crimes by their own description. Why are they doing that?" He proposed two potential explanations, the first being the involvement of President Donald Trump.
"That Trump is on the list. That they've got tape of Trump doing something awful. I dont believe that for two reasons. One, Ive talked to Trump about it a lot. And I know him. Hes not that, for whatever his sins. I dont think hes that guy, actually. I dont think he likes creepy sex stuff. Thats just my view," Carlson said.
He further argued that if there was any evidence of Trump's involvement in illegal sexual activity, the Biden administration would have already leaked it. He concluded, "So the only other explanation that I can think of is that intel services are at the very center of the story. U.S. and Israeli. And theyre being protected."
Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on sex trafficking charges, was found dead in his New York Metropolitan Correctional Center cell shortly after his arrest. Despite official claims that Epstein hanged himself, the circumstances surrounding his death have fueled years of conspiracy theories, particularly due to malfunctioning prison cameras and guards confessing to falsifying records about checking on Epstein.
In response to inquiries about an Epstein client list, Bondi told Fox News in February, "Its sitting on my desk right now to review. Thats been a directive by President Trump. Im reviewing that." However, the DOJ directed the DCNF to a Tuesday cabinet meeting where Trump and Bondi discussed Epstein, suggesting a disconnect between Bondi's previous statements and the memo.
Fox News's Peter Doocy questioned White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the apparent discrepancy between Bondi's past comments and the memo. Leavitt responded, "[Bondi] said the entirety of the paperwork, all of the paper in relation to Jeffrey Epsteins crimes. Thats what the attorney general was referring to, and Ill let her speak for that."
The DOJ inspector general later confirmed that several surveillance cameras outside Epstein's cell were not functioning, while others captured the common area outside his door. This revelation, coupled with the memo's conclusion that there was no evidence of foul play in Epstein's death, has led to a backlash from numerous staunch Trump supporters against the President's own DOJ.
The Epstein case continues to be a source of controversy and speculation, with the DOJ's handling of the matter under scrutiny. The allegations of a cover-up, coupled with the lack of a client list and the mysterious circumstances surrounding Epstein's death, continue to raise questions about the integrity of the investigation and the potential involvement of high-profile individuals.
