During a recent appearance on Fox News Channel's "Special Report," Vice President JD Vance issued a stern warning to Iran regarding its nuclear ambitions.
Vance emphasized that any attempt by Iran to develop a nuclear weapon would be met with formidable resistance from the United States military. He expressed hope that Iran has internalized the lesson that the U.S. possesses the capability to dismantle any nuclear infrastructure they might establish.
"We can destroy whatever nuclear capacity you build up. I think that lesson is whats going to teach them not to rebuild their nuclear capacity," Vance stated.
As reported by Breitbart, host Bret Baier raised concerns about the potential for Iran to resume its nuclear activities, particularly if the regime remains intact and retains its stockpile of 60% highly enriched uranium. Vance addressed these concerns by highlighting the significance of the U.S. military's recent actions.
"No, the big concern, Bret and this is, again, what we destroyed is, their ability to enrich uranium," he explained. Vance further clarified that preventing Iran from enriching uranium to weapons-grade levels and converting it into a nuclear weapon constitutes a successful mission. "That is the obliteration of their nuclear program, which is why the president, I think, rightly, is using that term," he added.
Vance reiterated the U.S. military's readiness to counter any future nuclear threats from Iran, underscoring the nation's advanced military capabilities. He noted, "Our hope is that the lesson that the Iranians have learned here is, look, we can fly a bunker-buster bomb from Missouri to Iran, completely undetected, without landing once on the ground."
This statement reflects a broader commitment to maintaining global security and deterring potential nuclear proliferation.
