In a revealing undercover video, a lawyer from the New York State Health Department has suggested that former Governor Andrew Cuomo was compelled to endorse a nursing home reform bill in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations.
This assertion comes amidst the backdrop of Cuomo's resignation on August 10, 2021, following multiple criminal investigations into his behavior.
As reported by Gateway Pundit, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced in August 2021 that Cuomo had sexually harassed several women, violating both state and federal laws. James detailed that Cuomo's actions fostered a hostile work environment, affecting both current and former state employees.
The political fallout from these revelations significantly diminished Cuomo's influence, as noted by Jacob Wilkinson, the health department lawyer. Wilkinson remarked to an OMG journalist, "When Cuomo was getting that investigation, he didnt have a lot of political power. His political power went down, right? And so, he was pushed to sign this group of legislation."
Wilkinson further commented on the nature of the allegations, stating, "Some of the allegations are 100% fake. Those girls who were, like, in the allegations, were sitting on his lap taking selfies with him at events." When questioned about potential blackmail, Wilkinson suggested, "He kind of was. He apparently didnt give them what they wanted. Thats why they exposed him."
The nursing home reform bill, according to Wilkinson, was authored by the Nurses Association. This development raises questions about the political dynamics and pressures that influenced Cuomo's decision-making during a tumultuous period in his career.
