Total Flip: Joe Rogan Regular Turns On Trump, Now Wants Him Impeached

Comedian and libertarian podcaster Dave Smith, known for his appearances on The Joe Rogan Experience, has taken a dramatic turn in his political stance.

Once a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, Smith has now reversed his position, advocating for the President's impeachment. This shift comes after Smith's initial endorsement of Trump in the 2024 election, which was primarily motivated by Trump's pledge to commute the sentence of Ross Ulbricht, the Silk Road founder.

As reported by Gateway Pundit, Smith expressed his change of heart during an appearance on the YouTube show Breaking Points, hosted by Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball. Smith accused President Trump of a "betrayal" of his America First foreign policy, a cornerstone of his campaign that resonated with many conservatives. Smith's criticism was sharp, suggesting that Trump's actions have rendered any further negotiation efforts futile, likening it to "impotent leadership" akin to negotiating after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

In his own words, Smith stated, "Negotiations are over now. The time for negotiations was before this. And so, yeah, Donald Trump looks and man, I supported him this last year." He continued, "I apologize for doing so. It was a bad calculation.

At the time, it seemed like the right one. But he should be impeached and removed for this oneand not on some ridiculous Nancy Pelosi-type grounds. Of course, the Congress will never do it, because theyre all a bunch of corrupt hacks. This is the one thing they support."

Smith's call for impeachment is rooted in what he perceives as a fundamental betrayal of Trump's campaign promises. He urged Trump's supporters to reconsider their allegiance, stating, "Donald Trump should be impeached and removed for this. All of his supporters should turn on him. Its the absolute betrayal of everythingeverything that he ran and campaigned on, and everything that he stood for."

Despite acknowledging that some Trump supporters have been characterized as having a cult-like devotion, Smith predicts a significant erosion of Trump's coalition. He remarked, "I dont just speak for myself when I say there are a lot of us who simply will not go along with this. So its just a devastating mistake."
