Nationwide demonstrations are set to take place on June 14th, coinciding with President Donald Trump's birthday, as a reaction to his administration's policies on illegal immigration.

These protests, nearly 1,500 in number, are part of the "No Kings National Day of Mobilizations," commonly referred to as "No Kings" by the organizers. The timing of these events aligns with President Trump's military parade in Washington, D.C., and his birthday celebrations on Saturday.

According to One America News, the organizing group expressed their intentions on their website, stating, "On June 14Flag DayDonald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isnt staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else."

They further elaborated, "Instead of allowing this birthday parade to be the center of gravity, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption."

This announcement comes on the heels of violent riots in Los Angeles, prompting President Trump to deploy the state's National Guard, despite opposition from California Governor Gavin Newsom. The unrest was triggered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in the Los Angeles area, which escalated into rioters hurling rocks and bricks at police, setting vehicles ablaze, and looting businesses.

President Trump has suggested that some of the rioters are "paid insurrectionists." He remarked, "I could tell you there are certain areas of Los Angeles that you could have called it an insurrection. It was terrible, but these are paid insurrectionists. These are paid troublemakers," adding, "The bad sick people that do what they do, but there are paid people in many cases, not in all cases, but in many cases."

Protests and potential riots are anticipated in various cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Seattle, Denver, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington, New York, and Boston.

In Los Angeles and New York, hundreds have already been detained following protests that escalated into riots, resulting in confrontations with law enforcement. Recent footage captured the NYPD making numerous arrests in Lower Manhattan, following Mayor Eric Adams' (D-N.Y.) declaration that the city would not tolerate any form of violence.
