Sunny Hostin, co-host of the daytime talk show The View, has made a bold assertion regarding Elon Musk's tenure as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Hostin claims that Musk's government cutbacks have resulted in the deaths of over 300,000 individuals, predominantly children. This statement was made during a recent episode of the show, where Hostin and her fellow panelists discussed Musk's legacy following his departure from the governmental role.

Hostin criticized Musk's actions, stating, "But the damage that he did was just really incredible." She elaborated on the extent of the cutbacks, noting, "He slashed 250,000 federal employees, more than 8500 contracts, more than 10,000 grants, and his cutbacks on medical research cost the lives of the foreign aid cost 300,000 lives, mostly children."

Hostin concluded her remarks by asserting, "Thats the damage that Elon Musk did. So I dont think anyone should be listening to him about anything."

According to Gateway Pundit, the source of Hostin's statistics remains unclear, and her fellow co-hosts did not challenge her claims. Whoopi Goldberg, another co-host, added, "Elon knows the 411 on everything," to which Hostin concurred, "Yeah, he got all that information." Joy Behar, also on the panel, remarked, "So Trump should be afraid of him. He has the receipts on the election, too."

Hostin's comments are consistent with her history of making controversial statements about President Trump. In January, she equated the January 6th protests to historical atrocities, describing them as "one of the worst moments in American history."

She compared the events to significant tragedies such as the Holocaust and chattel slavery, emphasizing the importance of remembrance.

More recently, Hostin has urged Democrats to adopt a more combative stance against the Trump administration, suggesting they should be prepared to "fight and die" for their rights. She referenced the Baby Boomers and the civil rights generation as examples of those who understood the necessity of such sacrifices, lamenting that the current generation of Congress is not rising to the occasion, describing the situation as an "existential crisis."

Hostin's remarks reflect a broader trend among The View's panelists, who are known for their critical stance on President Trump. Her statements continue to spark debate and highlight the polarized nature of political discourse in contemporary America.
