Illegal Immigrant KILLS 24-Year-Old Woman - But What Happened After Is Even MORE Shocking

In a significant development, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under President Donald Trump has apprehended an illegal immigrant who was previously convicted of causing the death of 24-year-old Kaitlyn Weaver in Arapahoe County, Colorado.

This arrest comes after District Attorney Amy Padden (D) controversially decided against imposing jail time on the offender.

The tragic incident occurred in July 2024 when a 16-year-old illegal immigrant, driving at an excessive speed of 90 mph in a 45 mph zone, collided with Kaitlyn Weaver as she was returning home from work. Weaver succumbed to her injuries two days later after her family made the heart-wrenching decision to remove her from life support. Initially charged with vehicular homicide, the young offender was offered a plea deal by Paddens office, resulting in a mere two years of probation and 100 hours of community service, sparking outrage among Weaver's family and the community.

According to Breitbart, Angel Dad John Weaver has been vocal in his criticism of Padden's handling of the case and the broader failure of federal authorities to enforce immigration laws effectively under the previous administration. "Immigration and the criminal justice system and all these things landed together one day in Aurora and now I sit here today without a daughter," Weaver lamented.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency announced the arrest of Weaver's killer, along with members of his family. ICE officials emphasized their commitment to justice, stating on X, "For the [Arapahoe County District Attorneys Office] justice is no jail time and probation for this criminal alien who killed a young woman while driving more than 90 mph. For ICE, justice is arrest and removal." The 16-year-old, a Colombian national, was taken into custody by ICE Denver officers and will remain detained pending an immigration hearing.

John Weaver expressed gratitude for ICE's actions and the widespread support his family has received. He shared with Fox News Digital, "I appreciate ICE taking enforcement action, and I really appreciate the outpouring of support from everyone."

The Weavers were initially assured by Paddens office that a plea deal would not be offered in their daughter's case. Yet, months later, the illegal immigrant was indeed presented with a plea deal contingent on an admission of guilt. John Weaver questioned the inconsistency, stating, "Why the change? If he had taken a firearm and recklessly just shot it and killed someone, this would be a different case. They would be pushing it completely differently. Theres no deterrence."
