Dems Memorial Day Trip To El Salvador To Visit Abrego Garcia Ends In TOTAL Disaster!

On Memorial Day, Americans across the nation paused to honor the courageous men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to the country.

Representative Glenn Ivey (D-MD) took to social media platform X to pay tribute, stating, "This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Let us remember their courage, their service, and the freedoms they preserved for us all."

However, Ivey's subsequent actions on the same day sparked controversy. According to RedState, the congressman found himself embroiled in a contentious situation in El Salvador. Ivey was there attempting to visit Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man he claimed to represent, despite Garcia's status as a foreign national and alleged MS-13 gang member.

Ivey expressed frustration over being denied access, posting a video update in which he declared, "Today, I was denied access to seeing my constituent, Mr. Kilmar Abrego Garcia. If there is nothing to hide, cut the crap. Let his lawyer and I check on him."

Ivey's insistence on referring to Garcia as a "constituent" raised eyebrows, given that Garcia is neither a voter nor a citizen in Ivey's Maryland district. The congressman argued that Salvadoran authorities were aware of his visit and intentions, yet still refused entry, instructing him to return to San Salvador for a permit. "That's ridiculous," Ivey exclaimed. "They knew we were coming, they knew why we were coming, and they know we have the right to do this."

The situation raises questions about the priorities of elected officials and their responsibilities to their actual constituents. Ivey's focus on advocating for a foreign national, particularly one with alleged criminal ties, seems at odds with his duty to represent the citizens of his district. This incident also highlights the broader issue of Democrats aligning themselves with illegal aliens, a stance that contrasts sharply with the immigration policies championed by President Trump, which continue to garner support among the American populace.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen managed to meet with Abrego Garcia, a meeting that was notably casual, featuring margaritas at the table. Meanwhile, three other Democratic lawmakers who traveled to El Salvador were unsuccessful in their attempts to see Garcia. Reports suggested that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries had advised against such visits, though his office denied these claims.

The ongoing efforts by some Democrats to associate themselves with illegal immigrants may not resonate well with the American electorate. As polling indicates, there is considerable support for President Trump's immigration policies, which emphasize border security and the enforcement of immigration laws.

The Democrats' approach, as exemplified by Ivey's actions, risks alienating voters who prioritize national sovereignty and the rule of law.
