WATCH THIS: Kristi Noem Faces Off With CLUELESS Eric Swalwell!

Written by Published

In a recent Homeland Security budget hearing in Washington, D.C., Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell of California once again demonstrated his unique approach to politics, which some might describe as less than impressive.

Swalwell, who has previously been linked to a Chinese spy named "Fang Fang," has a reputation for grandstanding and self-aggrandizement, often prioritizing his own voice over the voices of others.

According to RedState, Swalwell's latest display of this behavior occurred during a questioning session with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Rather than focusing on pressing national security issues or the ongoing crisis of illegal immigration at the southern border, Swalwell chose to fixate on a photograph of the knuckles of deported MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Swalwell's line of questioning centered on a photo of Abrego Garcia's hand, which displayed alleged MS-13 tattoos. The photo had been shared on social media by President Donald Trump. Swalwell questioned the authenticity of the photo, suggesting that the letters "M," "S" and the numbers "1" and "3" above the tattoos were edited onto the image.

"I want you to have credibility and I want you to be taken seriously. Is this doctored or is it not?" Swalwell asked Secretary Noem.

Noem attempted to respond, explaining that the decision to deport Abrego Garcia was based on an investigation, not a single photograph. However, Swalwell interrupted her response, stating, "Madam Secretary, I have a seven-year-old, a six-year-old and a three-year-old. I have a bulls--- detector. I'm just asking you, is this doctored or not?"

Noem expressed disbelief at Swalwell's line of questioning, stating it was "unbelievable" that the lawmakers focus was on a photo rather than the importance of U.S. national security. She then admitted she had "no knowledge" of the photo in question.

This incident was not the only time Noem made a Democrat look foolish during the hearing. Earlier, she and Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R) reportedly humiliated Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY).

Swalwell's performance at the hearing has been widely criticized, with some suggesting that his focus on a single photograph, rather than the broader issues at hand, is indicative of why Democrats are currently facing a decline in popularity. Critics argue that Swalwell's behavior exemplifies a disregard for the real issues facing the country.

Swalwell's obsession with the photograph of Abrego Garcia's hand also overlooks other evidence, including allegations of domestic abuse made by his own spouse, suggesting that Abrego Garcia was not a desirable presence in the U.S.

Despite his often cartoonish behavior, Swalwell remains a sitting member of Congress, a fact that continues to perplex many observers. His approach to politics, characterized by grandstanding and a seeming inability to focus on the bigger picture, raises questions about his effectiveness as a representative and his understanding of the real issues facing the nation.
