Trump Unveils EPIC Plan To Celebrate America's 'BIG 250' In The Name Of HEROES!

President Donald Trump's vision for a National Garden of American Heroes has finally secured the financial backing required to bring it to fruition, aligning with the United States' 250th anniversary celebrations.

This initiative, a promise made by Trump in 2020, aims to showcase 250 statues of significant figures from American history, including John Adams, Clara Barton, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Douglas MacArthur, Martin Luther King Jr., and Christa McAuliffe. The project is being realized through a collaboration between the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

According to The Washington Examiner, the NEH and NEA have pledged a combined total of $34 million towards the establishment of the National Garden of American Heroes. A substantial portion of this funding, $30 million, will be allocated from their fiscal year 2025 appropriations to craft statues from materials such as marble, granite, bronze, copper, or brass.

This initiative is part of the NEH's broader "A More Perfect Union" program, which aims to delve into America's narrative and honor its 250 years of cultural legacy. The NEH is actively seeking statue designs, with selected artists receiving grants of $200,000 to create up to three statues each. The application process is set to conclude on July 1, 2025, providing ample time before the nation's 250th birthday.

Acting NEH Chairman Michael McDonald emphasized the garden's educational potential, stating, "The garden will provide the public with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how the lives and accomplishments of these individuals have shaped our history and culture." This initiative not only celebrates American heritage but also underscores the importance of recognizing individual contributions to the nation's development.

Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) has been instrumental in pushing for the establishment of the National Garden of Heroes through legislative efforts. While the NEH and NEA's collaboration marks a significant step forward, it remains uncertain how much additional funding Congress will need to allocate to complete the garden. Mast's proposed legislation seeks to establish a budget for this ambitious project.

In a related celebration of American history, South Dakota will see the return of fireworks to Mount Rushmore for the nation's anniversary. The festivities, set to commence on July 3, 2026, mark a departure from previous years when the National Park Service, under President Joe Biden, prohibited such displays. This decision reflects a renewed commitment to honoring the nation's heritage and the values it represents.
