In an exclusive report, it has been revealed that the White House is preparing for an unprecedented celebration of Holy Week leading up to Easter.
President Donald Trump is set to participate in a series of events to honor and commemorate the holiday with the reverence it warrants.
The newly established White House Faith Office has been instrumental in organizing the Holy Week schedule.
Jennifer Korn, the faith director of the White House Faith Office, shared with Fox News Digital, "The newly created White House Faith Office is grateful to share that President Trump will honor and celebrate Holy Week and Easter with the observance it deserves."
She further detailed the week's agenda, which includes the distribution of a Holy Week proclamation, a special presidential video message, a pre-Easter dinner, and a White House staff Easter service. Korn emphasized that this would be a unique time of prayer and worship at the White House, aligning with the spirit of Americans observing the week leading up to Resurrection Sunday.
According to Fox News, President Trump is expected to issue a presidential Easter proclamation on Palm Sunday, addressing Christians as Holy Week commences. This proclamation will underscore his commitment to defending the Christian faith across various sectors, including schools, the military, workplaces, hospitals, and government institutions. On Monday, the president is slated to release a Holy Week video and host an Easter dinner on Wednesday evening.
The dinner will be a grand affair, featuring hymns by the Marine Corps Band, Christian opera by singer Charles Billingsley, and prayers and remarks from President Trump. The guest list includes Christian pastors, priests, and faith leaders, along with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Pastor Paula White, the senior advisor to the White House Faith Office.
On Holy Thursday, a staff worship service is scheduled at the White House, where Pastor White, the Rev. Franklin Graham, Pastor Greg Laurie, and Pastor Jentezen Franklin will lead in prayer, scripture reading, service, and communion. An ensemble from Liberty University is set to perform worship music during the service.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, lauded President Trump's efforts, stating, "President Trump promised millions of Christians across the country that he would create a White House Faith Office, and he delivered on that promise." She added that the White House Faith Office has organized an extraordinary weeklong celebration for Holy Week ahead of Easter Sunday.
Leavitt drew a stark contrast between the current administration and the previous one, noting that the Biden White House marked Easter Sunday, which fell on March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility. She quoted the statement released by the Biden White House, which read, "On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nations commitment to forming a more perfect Union where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives."
Leavitt criticized the Biden administration's decision, calling it an example of the administration's "yearslong assault on the Christian faith." She urged the Biden campaign and the White House to apologize to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe that the day should be dedicated solely to the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This criticism underscores the conservative perspective that traditional values and religious freedom should be upheld and respected in the public sphere.
