In a recent turn of events, musician Kid Rock, also known as Robert Ritchie, facilitated a private meeting between President Donald Trump and liberal commentator Bill Maher.

The meeting, which Kid Rock described as one of the "neatest days in my life," took place on Monday, and according to the musician, it was a pleasant surprise for everyone involved.

In an interview with Fox News, as reported by Western Journal, Kid Rock shared his observations from the meeting. "The most shocking thing to me was, Bills obviously a very big liberal, been very hard on the President, but hes donated a lot of money to other politicians [Joe] Biden, [Hillary] Clinton, [Barack] Obama [yet] he had never been to the White House, and the President was so gracious, he said.

Kid Rock further revealed that President Trump gave Maher a tour of the private residence, including the Lincoln Bedroom, where he showed him a handwritten and signed copy of the Gettysburg Address by the 16th president. He also noted that both Trump and Maher "have extremely deep knowledge of American history. Both very smart guys."

When asked about the topics of discussion between Trump and Maher, Kid Rock mentioned that they found common ground on issues like "ending wokeness" and "securing the border." He also mentioned that the President sought Maher's views on policies related to Iran and Israel. "It just blew my mind. I was very proud," Kid Rock said.

Maher, who is part Jewish and a staunch supporter of Israel, appeared to have gained a better appreciation of Trump following the dinner, according to Kid Rock. "100 percent," he affirmed when asked about it.

In a subsequent interview with Fox Host Sean Hannity, Kid Rock shared more details about the meeting.

He revealed that Maher was initially nervous when he first met Trump in the Oval Office and requested a drink. The White House staff brought him a margarita, while Kid Rock opted for a beer. The musician noted that Maher soon relaxed and was quite humorous during the dinner, which also included Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White.

One point of discussion that stood out was Trump's suggestion of serving a third term. Kid Rock hinted that this might have been a contentious issue between the president and Maher, but did not elaborate further. Trump's seriousness about this issue remains unclear, given his history of provoking the media for reactions.

When Hannity asked Kid Rock if he thought Maher would speak positively about Trump on his "Real Time" program, the musician responded, "I think hes going to say nice things about the President. No, hes not going to have a MAGA hat on and hes probably not going to vote Republican any time in his lifetime."

Maher later posted on social media, "Hey everybody, thank you for all the interest in my dinner with the President last night I promise, all will be revealed on the next @RealTimers on April 11. As its April 1 today, no one would believe what I said today anyway!"

Reflecting on the event, Kid Rock expressed his satisfaction, reiterating that it was "one of the neatest days in my life." He also mentioned that he and Pastor Paula White prayed together at the White House for the meeting to go well. "Hopefully, its a special moment. It sets an example. I never anticipated trying to set a positive example in this country for something like this, but you know, the Lord works in mysterious ways," he said.
