During a recent appearance on CNN's "Smerconish," veteran Democrat strategist James Carville reiterated his belief that the Trump administration is on the brink of "collapse.
".
Carville, who has previously predicted the downfall of the administration, has consistently dismissed its political achievements.
As reported by Breitbart, host Michael Smerconish remarked, "At this rate, the honeymoon, the Trump honeymoon will be over best case by Memorial Day, but more likely than the next 30 days." He further speculated on the significance of the upcoming Virginia governor's race in November 2025, describing it as potentially one of the most pivotal elections in recent memory. Smerconish then asked Carville for his thoughts, given his earlier predictions.
Carville responded with a rhetorical question, "Well, what tense are we in? Is it collapsing, or has it collapsed? Thats the only argument to have." He admitted his previous timeline was off, stating, "I was wrong. I said, Memorial Day. Its before April Fools Day, which the Trump administration should make a national holiday because it so accurately represents who they are." Carville pointed to various indicators, such as market fluctuations and controversies like "Signal-gate," to support his assertion that the administration is faltering.
He humorously added, "You know, treating measles with apricot pits or something like that," before conceding, "I think the thing is collapsed. But Ill go to you. Lets take the middle ground here and say its collapsing. And Ill meet you halfway. But thats about all I can do."
