Putin Wants These TWO Countries To Join Ukraine Talks!

In a recent development, Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed the inclusion of China and North Korea in the ceasefire discussions aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking from Murmansk, Russia, Putin underscored the potential contributions of nations beyond the United States in the peace negotiations.

"This is not only the United States but also the Peoples Republic of China, India, Brazil, South Africa, all BRICS countries," Putin stated, according to Newsmax. He further added, "And many others, for example, including the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea," referring to North Korea by its official name. The BRICS collective, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, is an economic alliance of emerging economies.

Putin's remarks come at a time when Russia and Ukraine have ceased attacks on each other's energy infrastructure. However, sporadic attacks persist, casting a shadow over the peace talks. A partial ceasefire was agreed upon last week between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

China and North Korea have had divergent roles in Russia's war efforts. Since the onset of Russias invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, China has attempted to balance its diplomatic stance. Although neither country has officially supported Russias aggression, the U.S. has criticized China for supplying dual-use items that Russia has utilized on the battlefield. These include semiconductors, drone components, sensors, earthmovers, and nitrocellulose, a key ingredient in rocket propellant.

In contrast, North Korea has been actively involved in the war effort. "In January, North Korea sent 3,000 troops to Russia in addition to the 12,000 it sent last fall. North Korea continues to send missiles, artillery equipment, and ammunition to aid Putins war efforts," as reported by South Korea military intelligence.

Putin also hinted at the possibility of replacing Zelenskyy with a leader approved by the collective nations. He has previously deemed the Ukrainian president illegitimate due to his cancellation of elections and ruling under martial law. "In principle, of course, a temporary administration could be introduced in Ukraine under the auspices of the U.N., the United States, European countries, and our partners. This would be in order to hold democratic elections and bring to power a capable government enjoying the trust of the people and then to start talks with them about a peace treaty, Putin suggested.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the potential involvement of other nations in the peace talks underscore the complexity of the situation. It remains to be seen how these developments will shape the future of the conflict and whether the proposed ceasefire will bring about a lasting resolution. As the world watches, the roles of China and North Korea in these negotiations could significantly influence the trajectory of the conflict and the path to peace in Ukraine.
