A peculiar new phenomenon, dubbed DOGE Derangement Syndrome, appears to be taking root, echoing the infamous Trump Derangement Syndrome.
This curious development was highlighted in a recent incident involving a former Freddie Mac employee.
The Daily Mail, a U.K.-based publication, reported on an exclusive video allegedly recorded by Maria Del Carmen Lozano, a dismissed technology worker from Freddie Mac. The video purportedly shows Lozano driving towards the federal housing loan services building near Washington D.C. on a Tuesday.
Although she does not appear on camera, a voice, attributed to her, can be heard declaring, Im about to blow everything up in Freddie Mac right now, and further asserting, This is real, not fake. According to the Western Journal, Lozano's alarming statements continued as she claimed, We have hacked the brain using artificial intelligence. Her erratic monologue suggested she might have been experiencing a schizophrenic episode, as she accused Freddie Mac of brain hacking and claimed involvement without compensation.
Authorities in Fairfax County apprehended Lozano during a traffic stop, following the issuance of warrants for bomb threats and trespassing. Despite the severity of the situation, she was released on Thursday and reportedly resumed her delusional live streaming.
The Daily Mail noted that Lozano was not among the 200 employees dismissed by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte, who assumed his role two weeks prior and was present in the building during the threat. An anonymous source revealed that Lozano contacted the offices post-release, demanding to speak with Pulte.
Prior to her arrest, Lozano allegedly circled the Freddie Mac premises without entering the building or exiting her vehicle. The FBI is said to be monitoring the situation, underscoring the potential threat posed by her actions. Despite her apparent instability, Lozano was not part of the workforce reductions aimed at curbing expenditures.
In a related development, the Washington Post disclosed a White House document outlining prospective budget cuts. Twenty-two agencies are slated for reductions, with some facing staff cuts of up to 50 percent. The Department of Government Efficiency is spearheading these efforts, raising questions about the potential impact of such measures on individuals like Lozano.
The emergence of DOGE Derangement Syndrome raises concerns about the broader implications of such behavior. While Tesla owners have faced vandalism and attacks on dealerships and charging stations, bomb threats represent a more severe level of menace. It is imperative for the Trump administration to collaborate with DOGE to ensure the safety of Americans as these initiatives progress.
