In a recent development within the U.S. Capitol, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has voiced concerns regarding Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) following an incident involving a journalist.
Greene claimed to have witnessed Crockett accompanied by a "Capitol Police escort" as she navigated the halls of Congress. This escort reportedly followed an altercation where Crockett allegedly attempted to seize a reporter's phone amid questions about her stance on attacks against Tesla.
Greene took to X to express her observations, stating, "Tonight, I saw an entitled Jasmine Crockett with a new Capitol Police escort walking through the already protected halls of Congress." She further accused Crockett of assaulting an independent journalist who inquired about her position on violence against Tesla.
According to Breitbart, Laura Loomer, a prominent figure on X, alleged that Crockett "physically attacked" Charles Downs, a correspondent for Loomer Unleashed. Loomer claimed Crockett tried "to violently steal his phone out of his hand" after being questioned about condemning the attacks on Tesla. A video accompanying Loomer's post shows Crockett ignoring a reporter's questions before reaching for Downs' phone, at which point the footage abruptly ends.
Greene's critique of Crockett extended beyond the incident, as she accused the congresswoman of inciting "domestic terrorism against Tesla, Tesla owners, and Tesla employees." Greene also highlighted Crockett's controversial remarks about prominent Republican figures, stating, "She physically threatened Senator Ted Cruz and shamefully made fun of Gov Abbott being in a wheelchair." Greene further criticized Crockett for requiring a Capitol Police escort while having a male staffer carry her designer handbag, labeling her as "the face of the Democrat party."
The controversy surrounding Crockett is not limited to this incident. As reported by Breitbart's Hannah Knudsen, Crockett previously referred to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as "Governor Hot Wheels" during a Human Rights Campaign dinner. Additionally, during a virtual meeting focused on Tesla, Crockett expressed a desire for Elon Musk's downfall, stating, "On March 29th, its my birthday and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down."
Attorney General Pam Bondi responded to Crockett's comments with a cautionary note, advising the congresswoman to "tread very carefully" and asserting that "nothing will happen to Elon Musk," as reported by the New York Post. The unfolding events underscore the ongoing tensions and political dynamics within the Capitol, highlighting the broader discourse surrounding influential figures and corporate entities.
