CNN Calls Out The TRUTH Behind Gavin Newsom's Tall Tales!

In a recent revelation, CNN has debunked the assertion made by Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom that he and his office have never employed the term "Latinx.

".

This term, often used by the far-left to describe the Latino community, was denied usage by Newsom during a podcast with Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk. However, evidence from past footage and social media posts contradicts the governor's claim, suggesting a sudden shift in his political stance towards a more moderate position.

According to the Daily Caller, CNN's Erin Burnett and KFile senior editor Andrew Kaczynski highlighted this discrepancy. "But there was a person who used Latinx, it was actually a very important person. It was him," Burnett stated, following a clip that showed Newsom using the term.

Kaczynski added, "Yeah, thats right and look, these arent minor shifts. These are progressive issues that Gavin Newsom used to champion until fairly recently and now hes not just walking away from then, hes sort of acting like they were never legitimate with that clip taking about Latinx in the first place."

Newsom's use of the term "Latinx" was not an isolated incident. Clips aired during the segment showed him using the term as recently as January 2023, when he criticized Republican politicians for their focus on banning the term rather than addressing the issue of "assault rifles." Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Newsom frequently used the term during press briefings, particularly when discussing the impact of the virus on Hispanic communities.

Kaczynski further emphasized the inconsistency in Newsom's claim by pointing out his extensive use of the term in his social media posts. "If you look at a few of these [posts] right here, you see there, that is a lot of use of Latinx by him for somebody who said that nobody in his office has ever used that phrase," he said.

In one such post from July 2020, Newsom acknowledged that the virus "disproportionately impacts the Latinx community," and announced a $52 million fund to "increase testing and contact tracing." In another post from April 2019, he highlighted that 31% of "Latinx" children lived in poverty. His official account also used the term when he collaborated with Hispanic activist and singer Becky G to encourage voting within her community.

Despite Newsom's frequent use of the term, it remains unpopular among Latinos who are familiar with it. A Pew Research poll from Sept. 12, 2024, revealed that 75% of respondents preferred not to be described as "Latinx." Furthermore, 36% of those who had heard of the term considered its usage a "bad thing," while only 12% viewed it as a "good thing."

In his podcast episode with Kirk, Newsom also seemed to retract his previous support for trans-identifying men participating in women's sports, calling it unfair. This stance contradicts his earlier actions as governor, where he endorsed and signed several pro-transgender bills into law, including a 2024 bill permitting men to compete in women's sports and use opposite-sex facilities in schools.
