Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has expressed his intent to prevent Andrew and Tristan Tate from residing in Florida, as he informed reporters on Thursday.

The Tate brothers, who are facing serious allegations of rape and human trafficking, reportedly departed Romania after their travel restrictions were lifted, subsequently arriving in the Sunshine State.

According to Breitbart, Romanian prosecutors have accused Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer, along with his brother Tristan and two women, of establishing a criminal organization in Romania and the UK in early 2021, exploiting multiple victims.

Governor DeSantis emphasized, "We have no involvement in that," and noted that he learned of the situation through media reports. He further stated that the federal government holds jurisdiction over the matter, expressing confidence in figures such as Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to address the issue.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier is reportedly examining potential state jurisdiction to address the situation. DeSantis made it clear that Florida does not welcome individuals involved in such conduct, stating, "Florida is not a place where youre welcome with that, with those that type of conduct."

The Tates, who possess dual citizenship, reportedly arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday morning. As ABC News highlighted, the brothers had been confined to Romania since late 2022 following their arrest on charges of human trafficking, sexual abuse, money laundering, and forming an organized criminal group. They are expected to return to Romania for their court proceedings.

Governor DeSantis reiterated that Florida was not involved in their arrival and was not notified beforehand, learning of the development through media channels.
