In a recent appearance on Fox News Channel's "Jesse Watters Primetime," Tom Homan, who served as the border czar under former President Donald Trump, addressed ongoing efforts to curb migrant crime and bolster security along the southern border.
Homan's remarks underscored a persistent concern over the presence of criminal illegal aliens within the United States.
As reported by Breitbart, Homan highlighted a significant increase in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity compared to the previous administration. "Look, you know, the ICE numbers have been good," he stated. "Theyre twice as much as Biden arrested a year ago from today, but I want more."
Despite these improvements, Homan emphasized the urgency of addressing the estimated 700,000 criminal illegal aliens currently residing in the country. "Weve got to arrest more. Weve got to increase targeting. Weve got increased operations," he insisted.
Homan also expressed frustration with sanctuary cities, which he believes hinder enforcement efforts. "Now, if sanctuary cities dont help, we double the manpower in sanctuary cities," he declared, emphasizing the relentless nature of their mission. "This is a never-ending effort that were not going to slow down. Were going to increase." His commitment to eradicating criminal elements was clear: "I wont rest until every criminal illegal alien is eradicated from this country, every illegal gang member is eradicated for this country."
While acknowledging the progress made, Homan remains unsatisfied with the current state of affairs. "Well, numbers are high. Theyre looking good. Not good enough. Im not satisfied. Were going to keep pushing," he concluded, signaling a continued push for stricter immigration enforcement and enhanced border security measures.
