Nicole Shanahan, a billionaire philanthropist and podcaster, has taken a firm stance against Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman following his decision to oppose the confirmation of Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. as Secretary for Health and Human Services.
Shanahan, who previously served as Kennedy's running mate before his campaign suspension, has not held back in her criticism of Fetterman.
According to Gateway Pundit, Fetterman announced his decision on the social media platform X, stating, "I have met with most of the cabinet nominees and have carefully watched their confirmation hearings." He further elaborated, "After considering whats at stake, I have voted against moving forward to the confirmation of Ms. Gabbard and Mr. Kennedy, and will be voting NO on their confirmations."
Shanahan responded with sharp words, labeling Fetterman a "lazy slob" and ridiculing his choice of attire, which often includes shorts and a hoodie. "Fetterman toys with the ideal of being a strong American Man, but he is a lazy slob who cant get to the gym in spite of wearing gym clothes all day long," she remarked. Shanahan added, "I do not expect someone who cant manage to dress themself to make good decisions, let alone those as important as the health of a nation."
Shanahan's discontent extends beyond Fetterman. She also expressed regret over her past support for Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock, who similarly announced his opposition to Kennedy's confirmation. "Man do I regret ever helping you," Shanahan stated, referencing her financial contributions to mobilize rural Georgia during the 2020 runoff. "The only reason youre in that seat is because I sent massive financial support to Shirley Sherrods c4 to mobilize rural Georgia during the 2020 runoff. Ill be correcting that massive mistake asap. Youre awful."
A former Democratic donor, Shanahan has aligned herself with Trump and the MAGA movement in pursuit of her goal to "Make America Healthy Again." Her mission involves challenging the influence of powerful pharmaceutical and agricultural companies. Last month, she issued a stern warning, declaring her intention to "personally fund" primary challenges against Senators who oppose Kennedy's confirmation.
"While Bobby may be willing to play nice, I wont," Shanahan asserted in a video on X. "If you vote against him, I will personally fund challengers to primary you in your next election and I will enlist hundreds of thousands to join me." She concluded with a call to action against corporate exploitation, stating, "Big Pharma and Big Ag have exploited us for far too long."
