He's Baaaaack...Gun Control Activist Turned DNC Leader?

Written by Published

Gun control advocate David Hogg is garnering significant backing from high-profile Democrats in his quest to become vice chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Earlier this month, Tim Walz, who was Kamala Harris' running mate, threw his support behind Hogg.

In recent developments, Hogg has also received endorsements from California Representative Eric Swalwell and Randi Weingarten, the head of a prominent teachers' union. According to Gateway Pundit, the Democratic Party has been experiencing a decline in support from men and various minority groups. The decision to elevate Hogg to a leadership role raises questions about the party's strategy to regain these voters.

Despite these concerns, Swalwell and Weingarten have expressed their support for Hogg. The New York Daily News highlighted the significance of these endorsements, noting, "Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg lands huge endorsements for DNC vice chair."

Hogg, who survived the tragic 2018 shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, has since emerged as a prominent advocate for gun safety. His candidacy for the DNC vice chair position has attracted support from influential Democrats, including Tim Walz and Eric Swalwell. Walz praised Hogg's leadership, stating, "David Hogg represents exactly the kind of bold, dynamic and courageous leadership our party needs right now. He has a unique ability to connect with the American people and to speak to the strengths of our party. I couldnt be happier to support him for DNC vice chair."
