The federal government, however, has offered little in the way of explanation. President-elect Donald Trump has now pledged to shed light on this mystery, promising to release a report on the matter one day into his presidency.
According to Mediaite, the drone sightings sparked a flurry of speculation, with theories ranging from extraterrestrial involvement to clandestine Chinese government operations. Despite the growing intrigue, federal agencies and administration officials remained tight-lipped, urging the public to remain calm and assuring them that the drones did not pose a security threat. This lack of information only served to fuel further curiosity.
Following the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, Trump convened a meeting at his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, with the nation's Republican governors. During this gathering, which precedes his second term, Trump addressed the attendees and fielded questions from Fox News journalist Peter Doocy.
In the course of their exchange, Doocy broached the subject of the drone sightings. Trump responded by promising to provide some much-needed answers. The dialogue unfolded as follows:

Trump: What happened to drones?
Doocy: Well, you said you knew you thought the government knew what was happening with these drones over New Jersey. There were some by Bedminster
Trump: I dont know. Theyre all over Bedminster a lot. Im going to give you a report on drones about one day into the administration because I think its ridiculous that theyre not telling you about whats going on with the drones Peter, thank you very much. Does Biden do I mean does he do this kind of a news conference?"
