As the incoming White House Chief of Staff for President-elect Donald Trump's second term, Susie Wiles has made it clear that she will not tolerate any form of drama in the West Wing.
She has expressed her firm stance against individuals who wish to "work solo" or "be a star," as she prepares for Trump's return to the presidency in January.
According to The Post Millennial, Wiles has stated, "My team and I will not tolerate backbiting, second-guessing inappropriately, or drama. These are counterproductive to the mission." This statement comes in response to the first Trump term, which was reportedly riddled with individuals leaking information about the White House's internal affairs.
In contrast, leaks during Trump's 2024 campaign were relatively minimal, a testament to the efficiency of the staff teams. Wiles, at 67, is set to become the fifth person to serve as Trump's Chief of Staff, and notably, the first woman to assume this role. Despite initially working for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during the primary against Trump, Wiles has since integrated into Trump's team.
Wiles has adopted a hands-off approach with Trump, focusing her efforts on managing the campaign. However, she has made it clear that any disagreements with Trump will be addressed privately to prevent leaks. She has also expressed her preference for working behind the scenes, a sentiment echoed by Trump himself. "Susie likes to stay sort of in the back, let me tell you!" Trump previously said of Wiles in his election victory speech. "The Ice Maiden. We call her the Ice Maiden."
Wiles has expressed her determination to make a strong start in the first 100 days of Trump's second term, focusing on "engendering public support" to fulfill Trump's promises. She outlined their plans, stating, "We are planning on rolling back redundant and burdensome regulations, keeping taxes low, cutting government waste through DOGE [the new Department of Government Efficiency], and most importantly, sealing the border and deporting criminals who are in this country illegally."
Wiles' commitment to a drama-free West Wing, coupled with her focus on traditional conservative values such as limited government, low taxes, and border security, signals a new era of efficiency and focus in the Trump administration. Her leadership style, which prioritizes private discussions over public disagreements, is set to bring a new level of professionalism to the White House.
