White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has come under fire from conservative social media users for a recent post showcasing the White House communications team.
Jean-Pierre, who dubbed her team as the "best in the business," has been accused of perpetuating falsehoods on behalf of President Biden throughout his tenure.
As reported by Fox News, the post was met with a barrage of criticism from conservative commentators. "It takes an army to come up with non-answers and lies," remarked conservative columnist Tim Young, responding to Jean-Pierres post. The photo, shared on Jean-Pierre's social media account, featured her alongside approximately a dozen staff members, all beaming beside President Biden.
The caption accompanying the photo read, "Here's to the best team in the business. I couldn't do it without you. Let's run through the tape! #thewestwing #POTUS #WhiteHouse." The post quickly gained traction, drawing the ire of critics who expressed dissatisfaction with Jean-Pierres performance as press secretary.
Tim Murtaugh, a columnist for the Washington Times, offered a stern critique of Jean-Pierre and her team. "This best team in the business lied to the world about the mental & physical fitness of the president and, ultimately, failed. Their work led to Trumps huge win, which was a complete repudiation of everything they did in the most important jobs theyll ever have," he wrote, adding a sarcastic "Nice work."
Eli Lake, a columnist for The Free Press, questioned the accolade bestowed upon the team, asking, "In what business is this the best team?" Conservative radio host Michael Berry also took a jab at Jean-Pierre and her team, posting a series of derogatory comments.
Chuck Ross, an investigative reporter for the Washington Free Beacon, predicted a lucrative future for the team despite their perceived failures. "Theyre actually all the worst in the business which means theyll be making $300k+ in That Town within a couple months," he commented.
David Marcus, a Fox News columnist, accused the White House communications team of lying about Bidens health and other significant issues throughout his presidency. "So these are the people who aided in lying to the American citizenry about Bidens mental capacity and plans to pardon his son. Got it. Id put a bag over my head I were one of them," he stated.
RedState.com writer Bonchie expressed disbelief at Jean-Pierre's lack of remorse, stating, "I keep waiting for her to exhibit some semblance of shame, but she just doesnt have it in her." Mollie Hemingway, editor-in-chief of The Federalist, was equally critical, declaring, "There is not an easier job in the universe than being press secretary for a Democrat. And yet somehow yall still failed."
Jean-Pierre's tenure as press secretary has been marked by a series of contentious moments, including a feud with CBS reporter Ed OKeefe over her refusal to answer his question about a neurologist from Walter Reed Military Medical Center visiting Biden at the White House. She also faced backlash for dismissing videos of Biden appearing frail as "cheap fakes."
