Elon Musk, the world's wealthiest individual, has been a vocal supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, a relationship that has recently been illuminated by Musk's mother, Maye Musk.

She shared insights into her son's rapport with Trump and her personal experiences with the president-elect's family during an interview on Fox Business.

"They do get along well," Maye Musk chuckled, referring to the camaraderie between her son and Trump. According to the Daily Mail, Elon Musk, the tech magnate, was an active campaigner for Trump in the run-up to the 2024 election, spending a significant amount of time in Pennsylvania and making appearances at Trump's rallies. Musk reportedly invested approximately $277 million to aid Trump's election campaign.

Following Trump's victory, Musk has been a regular at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, attended numerous events with the president-elect, and even shared a Thanksgiving meal with him. "The funny thing is at the Thanksgiving dinner, Barron and Elon were talking planets. He's 18-years-old. They were discussing all the different planets and why Mars is the best place to start a new civilization," Maye Musk revealed about the conversation between her son and Trump's youngest son.

She expressed her admiration for the youngest Trump and suggested that the president-elect values trustworthiness in his relationships. "Trump just likes someone he can completely trust who doesn't have any alternative motives," she stated.

Maye Musk herself has been seen at Trump events and described the president-elect's family as delightful, kind, and interesting. She is eager to spend more time with the incoming First Lady, Melania Trump. She believes that Trump values transparency and kindness, stating that he is "not going to be mean to people."

The 76-year-old also discussed her son's political shift and her own move towards conservative values. "Biden and the White House either just kept on either ignoring, or investigating or suing Elon and his companies," she said. "That made me very angry because he's just trying to do good. They're doing everything to put obstacles in his way."

She expressed relief and joy following the election, saying, "I was so angry before the election, and now I just feel like the whole world has opened up for not only America but definitely for the world. There's so much more happiness."

Elon Musk is now being considered by Trump to co-head a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with Vivek Ramaswamy. This has sparked concerns about potential conflicts of interest, as Musk could be tasked with reducing the very agencies that regulate his businesses while also benefiting from government contracts.

When asked about the allegations that Musk would use his position in the Trump administration to advance his own business interests, Maye Musk dismissed them as rumors spread by the "dishonest media" for the past 15 years.

She also shared when the Musks decided to support Trump's political campaign. "Well I don't know when Elon made the change, but I must say when the Twitter files came out, and we found that the FBI was paying millions to Twitter to remove Republicans from this site which we didn't realize was a Democratic site," she said.

These comments refer to misleading claims made by the tech billionaire and others, asserting that payments were related to censorship, when in fact, the law mandates that the government reimburse companies for requests for content, records, and other information.
