Monmouth County, New Jersey Sheriff Shaun Golden is calling for federal intervention to investigate the recent unexplained drone activity in his jurisdiction.

Amidst growing concerns, local authorities, including Golden, are pressuring Democratic Governor Phil Murphy to declare a state of emergency.

According to The Hill, Golden expressed his concerns on NewsNation's "Dan Abrams Live," stating, We continue to urge our governor to press the federal government to put more resources out here. He further emphasized the need for federal involvement, saying, The only way were going to solve this is by the federal government coming in here and doing full investigations as to what these things are, how their movements are made.

Despite the local alarm, the White House and the Pentagon maintain that the drones pose no threat. They also dismissed the notion that a foreign adversary is orchestrating the drone activities in New Jersey's skies. This stance contradicts the claim made by Republican Representative Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, who suggested that an Iranian "mothership" is launching the drones. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh refuted this during a briefing, stating there is not any truth to that.

While the investigation continues, Sheriff Golden is advocating for the governor to declare a state of emergency. He is also urging for an executive order to prohibit the nighttime use of recreational drones. This move, he believes, could help mitigate the situation and ensure the safety of the residents of Monmouth County.
