She then laughed before adding, Please I have to just, I have to insist, that please do not let your spirit or your purpose be defeated.
Harris has been relatively absent from the public eye since her defeat against President Trump in the last month's election. Her first video message to supporters since her concession speech was marked by a seemingly inebriated demeanor. In the video, she acknowledged the disappointing election outcome, stating, The outcome of this election obviously is not what we wanted. It is not what we worked so hard for. But I am proud of the race we ran, and your role in this was critical. What we did in 107 days was unprecedented.
Despite the election loss, Harris urged her supporters to remain resilient and retain their power. I know that this is an uncertain time. Im clear-eyed about that. I know youre clear-eyed about it, and it feels heavy and I just have to remind you, dont you ever let anybody take your power from you. You have the same power that you did before November 5th, and you have the same purpose that you did. You have the same ability to engage and inspire. So dont ever let anybody or any circumstances take your power from you, she said.
