New York City's Mayor, Eric Adams, has recently made public his intention to collaborate with the forthcoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump.

In a surprising move that reflects his commitment to dialogue and cooperation, Adams has extended an invitation to Trump for a sit-down discussion.

As reported by The Post Millennial, Adams stated, "I reached out to him and I shared that I would like to sit down and speak with him to hear what are his ideas, because I dont want people talking at each other, I want people to talk to each other. And I made it clear that Im not going to be warring with this administration, Im going to be working with this administration." This statement underscores Adams' willingness to bridge political divides and work towards the common good.

Adams further expressed his anticipation for the upcoming administration, stating, "President Trump is the president-elect, and whomever he chooses to run his agencies, Im looking forward to sitting down and seeing how do we better New York." This sentiment suggests a readiness to engage with Trump's chosen officials to improve the state of New York City.

Following Trump's election victory, Adams defended the President-elect on The View, countering the harsh rhetoric that had been directed at Trump. He said, "We've reached a point in this country where we no longer want to engage in conversation. They were even calling him Hitler." He added, "That was an insult to the millions of Jews and others who died. We know what Hitler did and what I said to our country, when I'm on the streets talking to my young people who are protesting on college campuses, wearing Hamas signs and calling for the destruction of groups. I said, we have to bring down this rhetoric."

Adams has also hinted at his potential support for the Trump administration's proposed mass deportation plans, even within the sanctuary city of New York. He stated, "The voters communicated loudly and clearly. We have a broken immigration system that needs to be fixed." This statement reflects a conservative perspective on immigration, acknowledging the need for reform in the system.
