Elon Musk EXPLODES The Internet With A Single Tweet...

Elon Musk, the billionaire tech mogul and owner of X, has sparked speculation about a potential acquisition of MSNBC, a left-leaning media network.

This comes at a time when MSNBC is grappling with dwindling ratings following the recent election, and its parent company, Comcast, is considering divesting the network to another publicly traded company.

According to The Post Millennial, the idea of Musk buying MSNBC was first suggested on social media by Donald Trump Jr. He humorously proposed the idea on X, a social media platform, saying, "Hey Elon Musk, I have the funniest idea ever!!!" He accompanied his post with a graphic depicting MSNBC with a "for sale" sign. Musk responded to Trump Jr.'s post on Friday, asking, "How much does it cost?"

Musk further fueled the speculation by stating, "The most entertaining outcome, especially if ironic, is most likely," in response to a post by Autism Capital about the potential purchase. His comments were met with enthusiasm on the X platform, with several users suggesting that Musk could buy the network and then hand over control to Alex Jones, whose own outlet, Infowars, is currently embroiled in bankruptcy proceedings.

MSNBC's struggles have been particularly evident in its Morning Joe program. The show's ratings have suffered since hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski announced that they had met with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago to establish communication lines.

This isn't the first time Musk has expressed interest in acquiring a media platform. In December 2017, he responded to comedian Dave Smith's suggestion that he should buy Twitter, a platform he professed to love, by asking, "How much is it?" Musk eventually purchased the social media platform in 2022, following the controversial banning of the conservative satire outlet, the Babylon Bee, for a joke about gender transformation.
