BREAKING NEWS: First Election Results Are In From MIDNIGHT Voters...And They Tell Quite A Tale!

The initial results of the 2024 election have emerged from the remote township of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, revealing an evenly divided vote between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The six votes from this tiny town were split down the middle, with each candidate receiving three votes, as announced by officials shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

According to Fox News, the six residents of Dixville Notch, a secluded unincorporated area in New Hampshire's North Country region, cast their votes at the stroke of midnight, continuing a tradition that began in 1960. Prior to the casting of ballots, a patriotic atmosphere was set with a performance of the national anthem on accordion by Cory Pesaturo, a three-time world champion, as voters stood with hands over their hearts.

In the previous election, then-former Vice President Biden had a clean sweep, securing all five votes from this small township near the U.S.-Canadian border, which paved his way to a White House victory over Trump. The eligible voters, totaling six for the first-in-the-nation presidential primary in January, congregated in Dixville's Tillotson House to cast their votes, with the polling station remaining open until all had voted.

Dixville Notch is not the only New Hampshire town to have gained national recognition for its midnight voting on Election Day. Harts Location, nestled in the state's White Mountains, initiated midnight voting in 1948, and Millfield, a neighboring town, has also adopted this practice. However, in the 2024 general election, Dixville Notch was the sole location in New Hampshire to hold midnight voting.

Every four years, during the state's presidential primary and the general election, media outlets from across the country and around the world descend on Dixville Notch to cover the midnight vote. As Tom Tillotson, the town's longtime vote moderator, aptly put it, "we get our 15 minutes of fame every four years."
