In a recent video, liberal comedian and actor Michael Rapaport expressed his frustration with the media and Democrats for their repeated comparisons of former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.
This criticism appears to be a response to Hillary Clinton's recent controversial comparison of Trump's planned rally at Madison Square Garden to Nazi gatherings.
According to Gateway Pundit, Rapaport's indignation also stems from the left's tendency to make such comparisons while overlooking the fact that leftists have been staging pro-Hamas demonstrations, a point that the media often neglects. However, while Rapaport criticizes the Hitler-Trump comparison, he does not fully defend Trump, suggesting that other harsh criticisms of the former president are acceptable.
Breitbart News provides further details: "Actor-comedian Michael Rapaport eviscerated media outlets and the Democrats referring to former President Donald Trump a 'Nazi,' calling on them to 'stop with the Hitler shit,' as it downplays the Holocaust. The actor also called out the left for ignoring pro-Hamas demonstrations on college campuses while comparing the 45th president to a dictator who attempted to carry out a genocide against Jews."
Rapaport, known for his negative views of Trump, passionately stated in his video, "'Satan' Donald Trump, 'pig' Donald Trump, call him whatever you want, Ive given you gem after gem for years. But stop with the 'Hitler' shit. Stop with the 'Hitler' shit!" He continued, "Do not refer to Hitler and the Holocaust the actual greatest slaughter and actual genocide of the Jewish people ever for attention and political gain. Stop it!"
Rapaport, who has previously hinted at possibly voting for Trump, has made it clear that he will not be casting his vote for Kamala Harris. His recent video serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible rhetoric in political discourse, particularly when referencing historical atrocities such as the Holocaust.
