In the heart of Arizona's battleground, Maricopa County, voters are being advised to brace themselves for a potentially lengthy wait for election results.
Election officials have issued a plea for patience, cautioning that the tabulation of votes could extend to a period of 10 to 13 days. This delay is attributed to an unusually long ballot, a result of heightened interest in this year's election.
According to Gateway Pundit, despite the availability of advanced technology, Maricopa County seems to be struggling to expedite the voting process. The public is being asked to bear with the officials as they navigate through the counting of an anticipated 2.1 million votes, of which only 400,000 have been cast so far.
Deputy Elections Director Jennifer Liewer told 12News, We do expect that it will take between 10 and 13 days to complete tabulation of all of the ballots that come in, but we ask for the communitys patience. We want to make sure that this is a secure process, but we also want to make sure that it is an accurate process.
Scott Jarrett, the countys elections director, acknowledged a slight delay compared to the 2020 election but noted an increase in turnout in recent days. He said, We are seeing a little bit of a lag of where we were in 2020, but the last few days weve actually seen an uptick in turnout. So I am expecting that we will start approaching very close to those 2020 numbers.
Maricopa County, which was at the epicenter of nationwide election fraud and legal challenges in 2020, is no stranger to controversy. The 2020 Arizona presidential race was particularly contentious. Fox News prematurely declared Arizona for Biden while voters were still queuing to cast their votes. This early call was questioned by Tucker Carlson, and the subsequent "late-night ballot dumps" that favored Biden 100% were also scrutinized.
In the 2020 election, Biden narrowly defeated Donald Trump by a margin of 10,457 votes. Maricopa County, home to over 61% of Arizona's population, played a crucial role in Biden's victory, as he won the county by a slim margin of 45,109 votes.
Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Heritage Foundations Election Law Reform Initiative, told Breitbart News in 2021 that unaccounted-for ballots outnumbered the margin of victory in Arizona, Nevada, and Wisconsin. He said, The Wisconsin Election Commission said 6,500 absentee ballots they mailed out were sent back by the postal service as undeliverable [and] 3,000 ballots that came back were rejected. They dont say why, but usually [a ballot is rejected] because, for example, the signature doesnt match, indicating it may have been a fraudulent ballot.
Von Spakovsky also highlighted that Wisconsin authorities could not account for 76,000 ballots. He said, They dont know what happened to them. In other words, voters requested an absentee ballot, or [Wisconsin officials] simply decided in some places in Wisconsin to simply mail out absentee ballots to everybody, and the ballot never came back, so its unaccounted for. These are the official numbers of the election commission [in Wisconsin], and we dont know what happened to them. We dont know if [the ballots] got lost [or] if they were stolen and somebody didnt get to vote.
He further noted that similar issues were observed in Arizona and Nevada. He said, The margin of victory in Arizona for Joe Biden was only a little over 10,000 votes. Maricopa County alone has admitted that they sent 110,000 mail-in or absentee ballots to what turned out to be the wrong addresses. They were labeled [and] returned as undeliverable by the postal service. Same thing in Nevada. Clark County sent out something like 93,000 mail-in ballots that are unaccounted for. In other words, they mailed it out [and] it never came back. We dont know what happened to them, and remember, the margin of victory in the entire state was only a little over 33,000 ballots.
Von Spakovsky concluded, There are literally tens of thousands of ballots out there floating around, and we dont know what happened to them.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has reportedly set its sights on "overseas voters," or UOCAVA votes, to secure a victory in 2024, as first reported by The Gateway Pundit. The DNC has issued a memo reminding everyone of the close 2020 election results and their strategy for the upcoming election.
The memo reads, "In 2020, just 44,000 votes across Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin votes won Joe Biden the presidency. In fact, abroad voters made a notable difference in Georgia and Arizona during the 2020 presidential election and made the difference in close races in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and North Carolina during the 2022 midterms. Thats why the DNC is doing the work to win this election by reaching out to voters regardless of where they live."
In response to the mounting concerns, Maricopa officials are attempting to reassure the public by increasing staff and adding more high-speed tabulators. They are advising voters to either vote early or be prepared for long lines on Election Day. However, given the controversies of the 2020 election, the question remains: can the public truly trust this process?
