In a recent campaign stop in Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris seemed to struggle with her articulation while attempting to elucidate the essence of the 2024 presidential election and the global perception of the United States.
"As a democracy, we know, theres a duality to the nature of democracy," Harris addressed the gathering, according to Breitbart. She further added, "On the one hand, incredible strength when it is intact. What it does for its people to protect and defend their rights, their liberty, their freedom. Incredibly strong, and incredibly fragile."
The Vice President's speech was not without its critics. Greg Price, a writer, shared a video of the address on social media, remarking, "Kamala word salads are so back." This term, 'word salad,' has been used previously to describe Harris's speeches, which have been noted for their inclusion of peculiar phrases and convoluted explanations of straightforward concepts.
Earlier this year, during a speech in Louisiana, Harris pondered over the "significance of the passage of time." In another instance, while on a visit to Poland, she seemed to fumble over her words, declaring she was standing in "the northern flank."
"I am here, standing here on the northern flank, on the eastern flank, talking about what we have in terms of the eastern flank and our NATO allies, and what is at stake at this very moment," Harris stated. "What is at stake this very moment are some of the guiding principles around the NATO alliance."
In a recent unscripted comment about a prisoner exchange with Russia, Harris once again delivered what critics have termed a 'word salad.' "This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy," she said.
This pattern of convoluted speeches raises questions about the Vice President's communication skills, a vital aspect of her role in representing the United States on the global stage.
