There is a strong sense by many in the Democrat Party namely Barack Hussein Obama that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone better. Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds, Cheung wrote.
However, Buttigieg appeared to disregard this statement, choosing instead to respond to a misleading tweet from a liberal journalist suggesting that Trump was backing out of a debate with Harris.

Buttigieg's attempt to ridicule Trump backfired, with many pointing out that Trump's agreement was with Biden, not Harris, and that the Democrats have yet to officially nominate a candidate.

Rumors are circulating that Buttigieg may be considered as a potential vice-presidential candidate for Harris, largely due to his close relationship with her husband, Douglas Emhoff.
